Course Description:

Your studio space is crucial to the creative thought process and development of your work over time. Let’s recreate and redefine what this space means for us and our mental health as artists! In this course, we will talk about your current studio spaces and discuss tips for rejuvenating them or creating a new space to meet your current needs. We’ll cover everything from rearranging furniture, organizational tools, lighting and equipment that could enhance your overall experience as a working creative. The cool part? It can all be done in your own home.

Materials:

Laptop/Tablet and/or Smartphone, A sketchbook or journal

Bio:

Katie Snyder is a painter in Manitou Springs. She is trained in acrylics and earned her BA in Studio Art from Ohio University in 2013. She started her art career as an educator - teaching painting, drawing, and 2D media - in a high school art classroom. Her personal work highlights daily surroundings using bold color and painted linework. Katie is co-owner of The Loft Espresso in Manitou Springs, where she works and hosts monthly art night events for the community.
