Courses for Creatives offers a variety of free and low-cost interactive workshops each year to help emerging and established artists with comprehensive, arts-focused training, information, and business skills. These courses are a collaboration of the Pikes Peak Small Business Development Center and the Pikes Peak Arts Council with support from Colorado Creative Industries!

March 20: Courses for Creatives: Legal Issues For Creatives

Tuesday, March 20 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Pikes Peak SBDC Conference Room

Contracts, copyright law, taxes, and other common legal issues. 

June 12: Courses for Creatives: Artist Cooperative Panel

Tuesday,  June 12 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Tim Gill Center Conference Room.

A synergistic approach on how artists work together and independently to create a successful business. 

The material that will be covered includes…

- Effective ways of mixing business and art community

- Group communication skills

- Taking/assigning ownership of new ideas and strategies

- Learning, growing, and achieving higher quality results through cross pollinating with other artists.

- My business + your business does not equal "our business" (setting up a multiple-partner business)
